In 2011, DC Comics introduced the New 52 series to reinvent their characters with new storylines and backstories.

With this information, I decided to create a New 52 comic concept for Enchantress, an anti-hero. To capture her character, I crafted a visual identity featuring a custom title and graphical elements.

Typography & Layout

The front and back covers are intentionally rotated to mirror her unpredictable nature. As an ancient being who defies the rules, I broke them too to reinforce that concept.

These are options I explored that didn’t make it into the final project.

I went through multiple font revisions to capture her identity. This ultimately made me realize that a clean font style didn’t reflect her unpredictable nature.
